Washington DC. For the second time in less than a week, the NFL has been given a black eye. First there was the Aaron Hernandez situation where he allegedly murdered Odin Lloyd, a player for the semi-pro football team the Boston Bandits and at one time a friend of Hernandez. Secondly, comes word that Joe Lefeged, Indianapolis Colts backup safety, was arrested for possession of an unregistered firearm and unregistered ammunition, and carrying a firearm without a license. Lefeged was arrested for fleeing the scene of a traffic stop and the gun and ammo was found upon the search of his vehicle. How many times does the NFL have to be in the news for all of the wrong reasons, let alone two of the most recognizable teams in the league? I thought the horseshoe was supposed to be recognized as a franchise with class and dignity, but not when their players are being jerks, and they are thinking that they are above the law. I don’t care if you are celebrity players or not, if I murdered someone, there would be no jeremiahboyce.com for you folks to read. Don’t worry people, I am not the type of guy who would do something as heinous and stupid as some of your NFL heroes. This makes me want to wonder what type of home did these players grow up in and were they ever taught what is right and what isn’t. You would think that they would put some thought into their actions, especially when they play the roles of sports heroes and mentors to the youth in this country.
