Center Ice had an opportunity to go behind the scenes of your Bismarck Bobcats when I sat down with chief officer/owner Thom Brigl. In this interview you will hear what it’s like to own Jr. A Hockey’s #1 franchise, your Bismarck Bobcats! Thom Brigl hails from Minneapolis, MN and has owned the Bobcats for 7 years. He is a 1979 graduate of Mandan High School and he is the best owner in the league. One of the themes for the 2008-2009 Bobcats is – It’s a Whole New Game. Thom is thrilled about the prospects of this year’s Bobcats on and off the ice. “It is a whole new game. We’ve got a new coach. We have a fairly high turnover in the team with a lot of skill from across the country. We have a brand new remodeled rink, and we have new staff, as far as Caryn, Elizabeth, and Skip,” he stated enthusiastically. The Bobcats are involved with a lot of charities and are very appreciative of the fans. “The future of the Bobcats really relies on the community and it’s support of the organization. We expect that it will grow, and it has over the years, but it’s really up to the community,” Brigl stated. Thom loves the Bobcats and hopes to see the team succeed and become champions again.
