It’s time to take a closer look at the first round of the NFL playoffs, better known as Wild Card Weekend.
The first match-up takes us to Arizona as we take a look at the NFC West champion, the Arizona Cardinals. Kurt Warner is the Cardinals QB, unlike when he was with St. Louis and had wide receivers like Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce. The Cardinals are not the greatest show on Earth. I don’t see the Cardinals going any further than the first round. It will be 1-and-none for these birds as they will get bounced out in the first round. Prediction: Atlanta – 24, Cardinals – 17.
In Saturday evening’s game, it’s the sizzling Indianapolis Colts at the 8-8 San Diego Chargers. The match-up has the Colts route all over it. No stopping these hot Colts. Prediction: San Diego – 6, Indianapolis – 34.
Moving on to Sunday’s match-up. Can Tavaris Jackson and the Vikings rise-up to a championship caliber, or will the Eagles soar into the next round? The Sheriff says the Vikings will get the job done. Prediction: Vikings – 24, Eagles – 20.
Quoth the Raven “nevermore,” as the Ravens sink the young fish. Prediction: Baltimore – 24, Miami – 17.
