I am deeply saddened to report that the sports media lost a brother Sunday morning. Stuart Orlando Scott fought cancer three times, even when he was accepting an ESPY award. He left behind two children, Sydni, and Taelor, his wife, Kim Scott, as well as his brother and sisters, Stephen, Susan, and Synthia. Stuart Scott will forever be remembered by his fans, including myself, for his famous, “Boo-Ya!” and “As cool as the other side of the pillow.”
Scott was somebody that I look up to as a sports personality, because we both have the same drive and look at everything as a competition. Scott never took no for an answer. Talk about somebody who was a fighter to the very end. He was in Mixed Martial Arts, so he would not be so drained from the cancer treatments. He would not let cancer get in his way, the same way that I do not let Cerebral Palsy get in mine.
