The U Mary Marauders have to learn how to play winning football. They remind me of a program in West Lafayette. The Marauders put on a valiant effort in the second half last night, but both halves count, just like in their home opener. The first half is where you need to exude a little more energy. I realize that they don’t play all winter, but still they should have come out with guns blazing. Instead, they allowed Wayne State to march down the field and build an insurmountable lead. The reason why I point a finger at Head Coach Craig Bagnell is because he had all this time to install the game plan. One of the things that you look for in any program, I don’t care whether it’s U Mary or anybody else, is that you need to come out with the right frame of mind. Next week’s home opener with Augustana is paramount.
