On today’s Sheriff’s Patrol, the Sheriff sat down with the very opinionated “Voice” of the Bobcats, Paul Teeple, who you can hear on 1270 AM, KLXX. His passion for the game of hockey really stands out when you listen to him broadcast a Bobcats game. In the “den”, you can tell he loves hockey through and through. He has no problem telling you what he thinks about a referee’s call. If he doesn’t like it, he will let you know it on the radio.
The Sheriff asked Teeple what were the three keys to winning the game in Minot this Thursday evening, to which he replied, “That the Bobcats have to get physically smart, need to produce on five on five play, and also play mentally smart. If they don’t, momentum can quickly swing to Minot and the Bobcats could find themselves in for a long night in the Magic City at the new Pepsi Arena”.
After the Bobcats scored on the power play in Austin this past Saturday to make the score 4-2 Austin, the Bruins quickly snatched away any momentum that the Bobcats might have had, and sent the Bobcats to their fourth straight defeat. This left them with a record of 8-7-1 and in a three way tie for second place in the NAHL Central with 17 points with Brookings and Minnesota, who they will host on Saturday at the “den”.
