After annihilating the Minot Minotauros 9-4 on Wednesday, the Bismarck Bobcats had Thanksgiving off. The Austin Bruins earned a split against the defending Robertson Cup champions in Bismarck September 19 and 20. This time, in Spam Town USA, I expect the Bobcats to go on a 7 hour business trip to Austin on Friday, where they will hopefully sweep the Bruins on Friday and Saturday night. They are going to put the bear in the river at the Riverside Arena. The Bruins were a good test for the defending champions in Bismarck, and I expect Steve Howard to have his boys ready to play. I would take another split, because Riverside is a tough arena to take four points home. Coach Roth will go over the game plan with the boys. Keep in mind that Bismarck is second in PIM, so I think the Bruins will try to draw the Bobcats into a lot of fighting. But if we want the desired result, we will have to control our temper. The voice of the Bobcats, Brandon Luisi, will have the Bobcats coach’s show on AM 1270 on Wednesday at 5pm.
