Center Ice had a chance to catch up with Coach Aaron Kinslow to talk about the weekend series with the North Iowa Outlaws and the upcoming road tests in Albert Lea and Owatana. “We’ve got to stick to our guns,” Coach Kinslow stated about rebounding from the weekend setback, “I think we did well defensively. Our biggest fault of the weekend was we were unable to get rebounds that were laying in front of the net.” When asked if it was a mental thing, Kinslow said, “The guys are nervous and tense. They don’t want to make mistakes. We’re addressing all the avenues it could be.” The Bobcats are hoping to ace their road tests, the first of which comes in Albert Lea. “We’re hoping to get back on track. We don’t want to extend it to three,” Kinslow stated. ”We’ll take it one game at a time. We’re not going to take anything for granted and hopefully we come out with four points for the weekend.” The coach stated of the play between the pipes, “David (Bosner) is still holding the number one spot, but Grogan is right behind and ready to step in if ‘Boz’ slips at anytime.” Kinslow stated of the upcoming three week road swing, “It will be good for us. There are none of those outside distractions that they have here.” Some of the mistakes over this past weekend, in Kinslow’s opinion, were due to the players not communicating. “When you have a team on their heels, you’ve got to stay on them. You cannot have the moments of lapses. You can’t give them any chances to come back,” Coach Kinslow stated, “when we come out with our A-game we are one of the toughest teams to play.”
