Minot, ND. Even though I am personal friends with Nick Hulberg and Marty Murray, yesterday’s Bobcat win over the Minotauros was extremely uplifting in three ways. First, it helped me to be able to write this article. Second, the win felt gratifying for my friend, assistant coach Garrett Roth and the 23 men who I know on a personal level. And number three, I have been thinking about the play by play man, Paul Teeple and how he must feel having to call a losing game most nights. It must feel pretty painful. As for coach Sedevie, who wasn’t with the team due his shenanigans on Friday, he told us Friday night he should be ashamed of himself for ripping in to the referees the way he did. Garrett handled himself much better. He deserves the chance to be promoted to Bobcats head coach some day. The players never gave up. They said, we are getting four points, we are not letting the Tauros win on this Saturday evening, and we are keeping our playoff hopes alive. When I heard Paul say “Goal!” In overtime, I wanted to jump out of my bed and go give Garrett a big hug!
