The Bismarck Bobcats have been recently on a tear, winning six straight games in a row.  We grabbed a few minutes with one of the main cogs in Bismarck’s success, Assistant Coach Aaron Kinslow.  I asked the coach to take me inside the Central Division.  Kinslow stated of the recent success of the Bobcats, “Our guys have played really well the past couple of weeks. We’ve won six in a row. Our guys are coming out ahead lately with just the right bounces and wins underneath their belt.”  I asked Kinslow what the coaches did to make sure the players were focused. “Just keep it simple, ” he stated, “we don’t want them to stray from what we’ve been teaching them.  It’s been paying off.”  Kinslow stated, when asked about the future Falcon’s (David Bosner) replacement , that it was too early to speculate, but he then told me that the staff were very pleased to have two solid goaltenders.  The Bobcats have been pleased with their first year player, Tim Serratore, who scored his first goal this past weekend against the Outlaws.  “We placed him in between a couple of players and he played amazingly well. Just shows how hockey smart he is. We’re excited to have him here right now” the coach stated.  Of their upcoming opponents, Kinslow said, “Albert Lea is a team looking to get any jump.  They’re a dangerous team right now.  They’re hungry to get some wins. We are not counting them out by any means.”  The Bobcats are hoping to be in first place by the time Christmas rolls around. I then posed a question about the schedule in the second half of the season, and whether Kinslow sees the half being a problem for the guys.  “Yes and no,” the coach stated, ” Obviously, it’s going to be nice to play at home. On the reverse side, it can be a distraction at times. You’ve got your family, your girlfriend, you name it. I think we’ve got the right team chemistry to persevere through the remainder of the season.”
