I think the new college football playoff system will be exciting for fans and media. Notre Dame will play Indiana at Notre Dame Stadium on December 20. Then, it will be SMU at Penn State, Clemson at Texas, and Tennessee vs. Ohio State at the Shoe in Columbus, all on Saturday 12/21. The playoffs will be very interesting, because you have teams that don’t normally play each other going to battle one another. Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers will be the first ones out, because no one comes in to South Bend and pushes the Irish around, except if you are Northern Illinois. The same can be said for Texas. Ohio State usually dominates in the Shoe, but I don’t know about this year, because they are playing one of the SEC powerhouses, Rocky Top Tennessee.
