With the temperatures going down, soon that can only mean one thing, football is back! The first team that we will bring you coverage about in the fall is Bismarck High School’s football team, the Bismarck Demons. The Demons look to go to the home of the current two-time defending FCS national champions, the North Dakota State Bison. In this Jeremiahboyce.com exclusive interview with Demons coach Mark Gibson, you will find out how the boys from the south side of Bismarck intend to get to Fargo. The first question that came to my mind was, what areas do you need to get better on? Coach Gibson replied, “On our defense. That is where we lost the most players due to them graduating.” Coach Gibson went on to state that the Demons’ strength will be coming from the defensive and the offensive line areas. Mark also said that “everybody says that they want a championship, but our kids make our goal every year”. The Demons have been to the championships the last seven years, but can they make it there again? Only time will tell. We also asked coach Gibson who he thought would be king of the west in football, and he stated esthetically the Magicians and then Century would follow close behind them. Gibson also states that the across-town CHS Patriots “will always be our biggest rivals. It is exciting to see how the teams in wild west grow up before our eyes.” I would like to thank Coach Mark Gibson for his insight about his football team. The next team that we will be working on will be the red, white and blue. In the meantime, you can expect some photographs of the teams to be on this website very soon.
