In this addition of the new series called “Inside Bobcat Nation,” we give you a look and a listen to one of the all-time greatest Bobcat broadcasters, my friend and a champion in his own way, please welcome, Stephen “Skip” Berry. Berry came to us after the familiar voice of Nick Hulberg skated off into the sunset when he took a job in the NHL minor league affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Berry got his start in broadcasting after walking up as an intern at AM860 The Fan, out of Portland, OR, where he assisted in any way he could, including producing other programming. I also asked Skip who his broadcasting hero was, and he said it was the voice of the Calgary Flames, Peter Maher.
