Miami, Florida. If you are Indiana’s head coach Frank Vogel then you have a lot to be proud of. I keep telling y’all that Paul George reminds me of the former Pacer and now TNT analyst Reggie Miller, and he did it again last night. By doing the unthinkable – getting an unthinkable three pointer that sent the defending NBA champs into overtime. Keep in mind that the kid is only 23 years old. That is incredible when you consider who he is trying to fill the shoes of, the man and an Indiana legend Reggie Miller. I know what you may be saying. The Pacers may be down 0-1, but I choose not to look at the scoreboard. There were several thoughts that went through my head late Wednesday night. If we could get the split out of Miami and be tied at one, this would suit the Pacers just fine. Keep in mind that your blue and gold gave the Heat a solid performance. Usually when you think of the Heat you think it could be a blow out. The Pacers played a super defense all night long, and for the most part held King James in check. You also have to look at the play of “Pyscho T” (aka) Tyler Hansbrough. His play was absolutely beautiful last night, and he was very aggressive. As for the play that won it for Miami, it’s just King James. You’ve got to give him credit, even though you want to blame the Pacers defense. Except for a few mistakes last night, the Pacers played an excellent road game. They still have time to improve for game two, and even if your Pacers should happen to fall down 0-2, keep in mind Pacers fans that Bankers Life Fieldhouse is waiting for the Pacers to return. This is a place where the Pacers have yet to falter in the post season, so even if we go down 0-2, it’s nothing to hang our heads about.
