Glendale, Arizona. It was a scintillating and royal battle between the NFC and the AFC Champions. The Eagles had been hot until they met Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. It looked like it was going to be a knock down drag out fight until Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker went for three points and aced the kick at the end of the game to give the Chiefs a 38-35 win. In the beginning, it looked and sounded like we were going to get a battle between the two quarterbacks, with Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes going for their respective teams. It was also a battle on both sides between Travis Kelce of the Chiefs and his brother Jason Kelce for the Eagles. The Eagles were looking like the ones to beat, but in the end, they were left homeless on the field by Patrick Mahomes.
George Karlaftis of the Kansas City Chiefs is from West Lafayette, Indiana, the same town as this reporter. And he was a part of Purdue football before he got drafted by Kansas City. Congratulations to Mr. Karlaftis for joining Drew Breese and the other NFL Boilermakers with a Super Bowl ring.
