Going in to Tuesday night’s action, the Montreal Canadians were down one game to none. But one game doesn’t make a series. With a little help from their firepower, the Canadiens sent the Vegas Golden Knights a message. We are here to play hockey, and if you don’t like it, tough. Because Canada knows their hockey, just like this media outlet. Joel Armia got the Canadians off to a flying start, and then Tyler Toffoli sent the Vegas Golden Knights a warning: you can’t get rid of Canada so fast. The city of Montreal will be rocking and rolling when it comes to games three and four. The Canadiens hope to being a hockey Stanley Cup back to Montreal. This is as good a team as I’ve seen in a long time, if not one of the best teams that the Canadiens have ever had. This team reminds me of the 1993 team that won the Cup for Montreal. Patrick Roy was their goalie. They have tough nosed players, like Canadian hockey is supposed to have. If Centre Bell is rocking, Vegas, you haven’t seen anything yet. Peter DeBoer, you have not gone in to a hockey hotbed like Montreal. You’ve been in the Shark Tank, but you have never tasted a Stanley Cup, and you never will.
