Indianapolis, Indiana. You might think that this is a dream, Pacers fans, but I am here to tell you no it’s not. This team is for real! Even though the Bulls came racing out of the gates, the Pacers once again proved their dominance in the second half. Even though the Pacers looked like they were headed for their first loss at halftime, trailing by 6, Chicago began to play dumb basketball, and the Pacers took advantage of it. Chicago went 3-19 from downtown, while the Pacers heated up. What can you say about Paul George? I think you can call him Paul Miller, because time and time again he continues to take the Pacers team on his shoulders when they need a leader. He reminds us all of the former great Pacer and now TNT’s announcer Reggie Miller. Reggie used to have that killer instinct. Players use to fear when Reggie had the ball, because you would know that you were dead. I think that is the same way with Paul this year. While it wasn’t a 31 point performance, you don’t have to score 31 points every night to be a leader. You just have to make sure that you show up to the game ready to play every night. So far, I think that the Pacers have! It will be interesting to see how the Pacers play against their former teammate Tyler Hansbrough this Friday. I also think that Toronto is another team that we should be able to mop the floor with. I don’t care who you are, when you play the Pacers, you are going to be beaten. I think that this Pacers team can take down anyone, even you, Miami! I apologize if I sound a bit arrogant right now, but I think the way the Pacers are playing now they could easily be holding on the Larry O’Brien trophy in June. Am I saying that the Pacers are going to go 82-0? No, but i’m just saying if I was the Simons right now, I would start measuring my fingers, because I think this is the year for the Pacers to get their rings. You can tell Mark Boyle, Slick Leonard, Kevin Lee, and even the PA announcer Mike O’Brady are enjoying their jobs right now. I think it’s because of the product that Larry and the Simons are putting on the floor for the fans and us media to cover.
