If you remember my last post, then you would know I wasn’t very happy with how the Pacers performed in game one. This is a team that should have been up two games to none, but because they were pussy footing around in game one they ended up losing the game by 20 points on their home floor. Thank you very much Roy Hibbert, and Frank Vogel. Even Mike Wells from the Indianapolis Star, who is now a contributor the ESPN, agrees with yours truly. If Indiana doesn’t make it out of the first round then the Pacers should fire Frank Vogel. So you know that I only report the truth, and if Mike Wells agrees with me then you know it is true.
As far as Roy Hibbert, I’m not surprised. Frank Vogel will never pull him, because Frank is too in love with Roy. As far as tonight goes, the Pacers are heading to a place that has been a house of horrors for them over the years, and that would be Atlanta. So I’m going to watch tonight’s game and see if I see the same old Hibbert. It will be nice to hear what MJB has to say. I like hearing what he has to say, because he calls the game as he sees it. Nothing against Bobby Slick Leonard, but when MJB is on the road I feel like he is at his best, and that is when we have Mark Boyle unedited. I also think that he is one of the best announcers in the NBA, and I am not just saying that because I was lucky enough to meet him earlier in the year. I truly think that! I think that the guy is genuine, and so down to earth.
As far as the action on the basketball court, the Pacers are going to have to counter whatever adjustments that Atlanta makes. It’s like Bobby Slick was saying the other night. Now that we have our first win under our belts, we should be able to go into Atlanta and win. I wonder what Mike O’Grady thinks? He is the PA voice for the Pacers. When you hear him every now and then it is because the Pacers are at the free throw line shooting two shots at home. Or in cases like tonight when the Pacers are on the road he will do a Pacers pre game and the half time programing along an extensive state wide radio network, or channel 891. Game three is always critical when a series is tied at one, because the winner of game three is closer to three, which is the number of wins that it takes to move on to round number two of the playoffs. The Pacers are at a crossroad, where they either do it or they get a not so happy article on them tomorrow on this website. It would be different if they were in high school or college basketball, but they are not. They are allegedly trying to go after a Larry O’Brien trophy, which is why Larry Bird was doing all the chirping in the past season.
