The 48 team can complain all they want, but the officials claim that the 48 clearly made an illegal restart. Johnson’s loss is Tony’s gain! There was nothing Rick Hendrick could do for Jimmy Johnson on this day, he clearly broke the rules and I wish that 48 would just be quiet. This was Tony’s first win of the year. The Columbus Indiana native has been having an awful season, so Tony’s win was a good thing, because that can only give him some confidence going into the summer months. As for Jimmy, I don’t feel sorry that you lost at Dover. We have seen enough of you, Mr. Five Time. This is only the beginning of your awful summer! I know I’m sick of hearing about five time, so let’s just focus on Tony Stewart for once in our life. Now let’s talk about what a great win this was for the Columbus Indiana native. He and Ryan Newman have had nothing to write home about all season long, so finally on June 2nd it was Tony who gave his own organization something to smile about. There were tears of happiness yesterday for both Tony and his crew chief Steve Addington. That team deserves it. You can count on them to get a lot more wins! The number 2 team finished in 5th place on Sunday, and is in 4th place in the points. The next race is Pocono. Stay tuned for a preview later in the week.
