Every sweep gets four points, and solidifies that the Bismarck Bobcats have something to defend and play for. It’s for everybody else in the league to chase down the Robertson Cup, which the Bobcats are looking to defend. This weekend, the Bobcats will take one of the longest trips in the league, as they go to wrangle with the number five North Iowa Bulls in Mason City, and their leading scorer Fuji Suzuki. This comes after sweeping the lowly St. Cloud Norsemen at the den last Friday and Saturday. The Bulls are a much improved team over last year and do not look like the last place team in the Central. That distinction goes to the Minnesota Mallards. Meanwhile, Steve Howard’s Austin Bruins lead the champs in the standings by three points. While the Bobcats tangle with the Bulls, the Bruins will take on the St. Cloud Norsemen.
