After a rather lean NAHL Showcase, which saw the Bobcats unable to rack up points, I think Layne Sedevie should ask for a psychiatric review, and he should take medicine to help him understand his new team. This team looks like it could be a rather lean year. From what I’ve been hearing, the Bobcats need a lot of help in the goalie area. One of the areas I have been impressed with is a newcomer from Finland named Vertti Jauntunen. He knows how to light the lamp, and he often scores on the power play. I am looking forward to seeing Vertti when the Bobcats open the den for a 26th season on October 1, when the dreaded Minot Minotauros come to town. Minot was the team that the Bobcats beat out for the last playoff spot last year. I am excited to begin to cover Central Division play. This is my 26th season with the Cats.
