Sometimes in the Northwoods League you are going to have a bad night, which was the case on Wednesday for the Bismarck Larks against the St. Cloud Rox. Larks pitching served up three gopher balls which allowed the Rox to grab a 6-0 lead before the Larks came to bat in the bottom of the third inning. The Larks did manage to cut the lead in half in the bottom of the third, but they were only able to muster one more run in the next six innings in the 7-4 loss to St. Cloud.
The loss dropped the Larks record to 10-6 and into a second place tie with Mankato and one game behind the Duluth Huskies. The Larks now look to rebound from last night’s loss as they head out of town for a four game road trip to Rochester Mn. and La Crosse Wi. The Larks will return to their nest next Tuesday evening as they will host the Willmar Stingers in the start of a four game homestead against the Stingers and the Rochester Honkers.
