Who could’ve asked for the Central Division to come down to two great cities, and great players on both teams? The Bobcats have 33 wins, after coming off of a weekend split. Number 39, Hunter Shepard helped the Bobcats to a 3-0 win over Aberdeen. On Saturday night, the Bobcats were unable to salt away the Blizzard in a 3-2 loss. Minot was able to keep pace with a split of their own against the Minnesota Magicians, and rallied past the Magicians on Saturday, to tie with their North Dakota neighbors headed into Thursday night’s big matchup. You will hear from the Bobcats first, followed by the team that they are going nose to nose with, the Minotauros.
The Bobcats will be without Willie Brown, because of a head contact penalty he took during the last meeting on Saturday between the Blizzard and the Bobcats. They will have him back for Friday, when the two meet up at the den. The reason why the Bobcats and Minotauros are tied in the standings is because of their points total. The first tie-breaker would go to the Bobcats, because of their number of wins. Currently, the Minotauros only have 32 wins, but your Bismarck Bobcats have 33 wins. If they could get win #34 tomorrow in enemy territory, it would be a huge win, because the Minotauros are idle on Saturday, and do not play for the rest of March. The Bobcats finish up their season with a home heavy schedule, after their trip to the Maysa.
Sedevie said that he is going with #39 in goal. Shepard will get the start in the net for the Bobcats. The Bobcats are going into hostile territory, and will need to rely on secondary scoring, without Willie Brown. Their fourth best scorer is not available Thursday night. Downtown Willie Brown does not lead the team in scoring, the Moorhead native, Aaron Herdt, does.
