Bismarck, ND. Every night when the staff writer of the Bismarck Bobcats turns on the radio, I expect the team to play their best, and they have been doing anything but playing their best lately. They’ve been acting like kittens. It’s like they don’t want to skate the puck or get physical or take the body. The Bobcats need to knock it off and play like bobcats, which I know they can. I haven’t been with the team in a while, but I am less than enamored with the team’s inability to be tough and get their nose to the grindstone and go to the dirty area around the opposing goalie. For example, when the Cats lost 4-0 in Minnesota on Saturday, it was like they were baby bobby cats. When you are a member of the media like I am, you turn to coach Roth for answers, and you want to be very blunt with him. I will ask him pointed questions, and I won’t back down. Number 27 knows what he gets with me. He gets a lot of intensity, and sometimes, if I have to repeat the question, I don’t care. That’s my job. Coach Sedevie knows this, too. You can expect a very intense media session on Wednesday this week with both coaches.
