Talladega, Alabama. Going in to the Easter break, Mr. H. had the first four spots in the front row locked up for today’s Aaron’s 499. The first four qualifying spots were all from HMS, with Jeff Gordon starting on the pole. There were a lot of tense moments like there always are when you come to ‘Dega, but HMS power ruled the day. Jimmie Johnson entered Sunday’s race at Talladega winless on the early 2011 season. Jimmie proved that he is still the defending champion and that the 48 team is still the team to beat if you want to get the Nextel Cup at the end of the season. Jimmie won the race by working patiently with his teammate Dale Earnhardt, Jr. They stayed glued together and when it was time to shine, Jimmie Johnson made sure that Hendrick would finish the day where they started, on top.
