Many of you may recognize the name Roger Thomas from UND athletics. Thomas was scheduled to be introduced at a press conference today to replace Al Bortke at the University of Mary, who is scheduled to step down in 2009. Thomas has had a storied career in athletics, notably as head coach of Sioux football and former commissioner of the North Central Conference. I view this as a great move for a program that is still trying to get it’s footing in Division II.
