The unbelievable story of Mad Max continues to be positive. Pitching in his home state wasn’t a problem. There were a few areas that he could done better, but overall 9-0 is nothing to sneeze at. He gave up a tying home run, but that wasn’t the story on this night. The art of pitching was on display once again last night. Now it’s up to number 35 to carry the Tigers on his shoulders. If they want to win the series with Kansas City, the Tigers must rely on number 35 Justin Verlander, who has been anything but the CY Young Award winner in 2011 where he went 24-5. As of right now, he doesn’t resemble how he looked in 2011. Heading into today’s game, the series final with the Royals, his current record is 8-4. The game starts this afternoon at 1:10 pm Central time. The next time I will come to you after today’s game, we will load all of our gear and head east from Bismarck, ND where we being giving you some live coverage from the Target Field press box. You can expect me to write something after today’s game, but the next time we will talk Tiger baseball, I will be with the Motor City kitties for game one of their weekend series at Target Field.
