Sonoma, California – Instead of focusing on the race track where Clint Bowyer proved he is king of the road, people on Sirius XM Radio, channel 90, are once again taking shots at my colleagues in the media. You know how I feel about what Kurt Busch did and this has nothing to do with the drivers, but fans that are comparing ESPN to TNT. I happen to like how Turner Sports does NASCAR and enjoyed the race yesterday until I heard all the complaining about it this morning. It shouldn’t matter what media outlet is bringing you the race, whether it is FOX, TNT, ESPN, or ABC. It is still the same race. If people are going to complain about how networks cover NASCAR then they can listen on the Performance Racing Network and the Motor Racing Network instead. When I sit down to watch a NASCAR race it’s not about whoever is covering the race, it is about the action on the track. Yesterday, we had plenty of action at Sonoma where you had Clint Bowyer going to victory lane. The defending Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart had a really impressive day on Sunday after starting at 24th and finishing at number 2.
