Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Timberwolves have everything in their favor. Tonight’s game is at their den, aka Target Center, and I expect Jokic to do his thing. But I am expecting the wolves to counterpunch with Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley and Ayo Dosunmu. The key, as it is for every sporting event, is who has the momentum. The Wolves need to give their fans something to cheer about. That means defense, and that means blocking out Nikola Jokic. If the Wolves have any hope of Chris Finch being happy tonight and for the remainder of the series, they must take Jokic out of his game plan. If Finch has to call timeouts early, that is not going to be a good sign. It’s going to be up to Rudy and his teammates to block out Jokic and pour barbecue sauce on the rest of the chicken McNuggets.
