If the Minnesota Twins do not step up in the upcoming second half of the season, they will have no one to blame but themselves. I hope Derek Shelton doesn’t get his job taken away, because the players on the field are not performing the right way. The first person that I think will perform well is big number 25, Byron Buxton. He has been performing admirably, even though the Twins have been floundering around under .500 for the first half of the season. Right now, the Twins are 48-49 going in to Chicago, where they will face Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs. I hope the Twins will take 2 out of 3. And then they will move on to Cleveland Ohio where they will face the Guardians for a four game series, which I think will tell the story of whether the Twins will be in the playoffs or not. The Twins have plenty of veterans to make a late season run. Whether they do it or not, there might be a fire sale which could include a 30 year old Joe Ryan. If the Twins don’t make the playoffs, Ryan deserves to make the playoffs with another team.

Last night’s All Star tilt had Joe Ryan only seeing one inning, and saw the American League winning 4-0.
