Bloomington Indiana. Victor, Cody and the Hoosiers blew up to number two in the land. Let’s make it tough on Wisconsin. Indiana has to play a full 48 minutes of basketball and tighten the screws defensively. Number two means nothing. Cody has to be aggressive tonight. The Hoosiers can’t rely on the fact that they are number two in the land, they have to be ready to go from the opening tip off. Wisconsin has upset on their minds, so it’s imperative the Hoosiers play the same brand of basketball that they have been playing all year long. We don’t want to give Wisconsin an opening, we want to step on their throats right away! We want to take any momentum and we want to give the whole home crowd a lot to yell about, because if we sit back and let Wisconsin take control of the game, the whole crowd will not be happy. So Cody needs to forget about last week and have the right frame of mind. Victor needs to put the ball in the hole. Tom Crean needs to watch the pace of the game and use the timeouts wisely. If Crean doesn’t use his time outs wisely, it will be a long night for IU. Just because Wisconsin has to travel doesn’t mean a darn thing, every night is a big game in the Big Ten. It is a new night tonight, 3-0 means nothing. We need to keep building on our body of work. We can not think that 3-0 is satisfying enough, we need to come out and play IU brand of basketball and try to prove game to game, because the committee and the people who gave us the number two ranking in the country will be watching. It doesn’t matter what Wisconsin is thinking, every team is a threat in the Big Ten. I give you Minnesota, ladies and gentlemen, as example A: on Saturday we had them buried and they walked out of Bloomington with almost a win. As far as the committee, I feel like every win that IU earns definitely can help with the seeding down the road. I know it’s only January folks, but every win that we earn in the Big Ten can only prove helpful. When you look at March, the first thing the committee looks at is your entire body of work, from your non-conference to your conference body of work. So basically its going to come down to staying correct, and working your butt off to try and show the committee what you are made of.
