To describe my emotions about what happened to my favorite college team yesterday in Williams Arena, you might have to bleep me out, because when Purdue played Minnesota at Mackey Arena, they blew the Gophers out of the building. They must have been sleeping on their Boilers bus on the way to ‘Sota, because if you have a number in front of your school, you are allegedly supposed to be really good. What I heard on WAZY yesterday was total garbage. Matt Painter should have done his best Gene Keady and hollered at the boys. Why the heck are we not awake? We are not in Mackey, we’re in Williams Arena. This is a team that we dismantled by 19 points at Mackey. Where are our heads, boys? We need to stay together as a team and quit jacking up threes. That is not Boiler basketball. I don’t care if you are alleged Boilers, we should be able to activate bells and whistles. But instead, it was Richard Pitino who was derailing the train. That cannot happen in Minneapolis or anywhere else in the Big 10. Frankly, I felt like the Boilers played like a derailed train from the start of it. And I also felt like some of their biggest stars did not have their heads in the game. Instead, they had their heads in their posteriors. Hopefully, when Sparty comes calling to Jeremiah Arena next Tuesday, we will hear Rob Blackman say “triple time!” That is an indication that a Boiler has nailed a three. And the Boilers better be up in MSU’s shorts, because if I hear MSU beat the Boilers, I will feel like disowning my home town. You can’t rely on the seven foot four freshman from north of the border, Zach Edey, or else you will play like horse manure!
