Atlanta, GA. Going into the game on Monday, Louisville was the only number one seed remaining. All the other number one seeds had gone down! Included in the tragedy were Tom Crean and his IU Hoosiers. Adding to the list was Bill Self and his Kansas Jay Hawks. Number one was not a friendly number when you look back on it. I don’t know how many times all year long we had seen the number one not being kind to certain teams, except if you were Louisville. You had a sophomore who broke his leg, and these Cardinals could have given up at any moment, but on Monday night it was their one shining moment. With Kevin Ware on the bench and only being a sophomore, this group of birds was determined to make sure that they had something to chirp about on Monday night. I will make a prediction right now that your preseason number one will be Louisville. Imagine if they have a healthy Kevin Ware how good they will be? What can you say about Michigan? Don’t underestimate the Wolverines. They will be 2nd in the preseason polls. Congratulations to Trey Burke on his award of player of the year! It was a close national championship with Louisville only winning by six points with 82-76 being the final score.
