Going in to Aberdeen and sweeping the Wings is usually hard to do. On Friday night, the Bobcats were behind 2-0 to the Wings, but they wouldn’t succumb to the Odde Ice Center. They quieted the fans and rallied to win the game 5-2. On Saturday night, the Bismarck Bobcats were resilient and hard nosed and wouldn’t back down. Especially Patrick Johnson, who has proven that he should be our Captain. Johnson showed no fear when he bore in on the Wings and delivered the fatal blow in the shootout, for a 5-4 win. He made his coach very happy, and a winner. Next up for the Bobcats is a battle with the North Iowa Bulls this Friday and Saturday, and it’s the Bobcats home opener. I am proud of Patrick and Layne Sedevie, who is in his 13th year as bench boss. I feel good to be a Cat staff writer. There is no other organization I would rather work for.
