While sitting in my living room in Bismarck, ND, I had a chance to watch the coming of age of a QB. That QB happened to be the brother of another QB I had just watched a year earlier get his first Lombardi Trophy with the Indianapolis Colts. Now on Sunday, the New England Patriots were Goliath in my eyes, because everyone was talking about history being made. A younger Manning stole the spotlight with an incredible play that would have anybody jaw-dropping, and me smiling. Goliath was coming after him, but the younger Manning just said “I don’t think so,” and he took the heart right out of Goliath. He gave the first family of football a second title. Archie and Olivia have to be proud of their sons, I sure am. No matter what people think of this article, the night was clearly Eli’s in my eyes. The younger Manning grew into a champion, just like Peyton, with a 17-14 win over New England.
