Charlotte, North Carolina. On Saturday night, it was time to add a new name to NASCAR’s biggest and brightest all stars, the number 99 Aflac Ford Fusion piloted by Columbia Missouri’s Carl Edwards. Edwards, who is known for his famous back flip, is now a million dollars richer on this Sunday. This can be considered Speed Week at Charlotte. After the All Star race, the drivers are put through one of NASCAR’s ultimate tests of endurance and patience and skills. This marks the beginning of summer with the annual Coca Cola 600. Karl Edwards is not only a million dollars richer, but he is also your Nextel Cup points leader. Might we have seen a preview of the Coca Cola 600? Only 600 miles knows the answer to that. This is one of my favorite weekends of the year. JeremiahBoyce.com will be in Indy providing you green flag coverage of the centennial Indy 500, and then from Indy I will fly down to Charlotte and give you flag to flag coverage of NASCAR’s endurance test. How does a person fly down in two places? The power of XM Radio!
