The Bismarck Bobcats were one win away from going to Nationals, but the Express had other ideas of making the Bobcats work a little bit harder to earn the right to go to Mason City, Iowa. And with David Bosner in the net, the Bobcats had a hot goalie who hadn’t lost a game in the playoffs, until tonight.

The Bobcats jumped on the Express early at 2:28 of the second on a goal by Bismarck’s Kevin Harris. Then the Express took over Bismarck’s momentum and snatched the lead away with a goal by Owatonna’s Chris Darnell, from Cory Thorson. That goal seemed to energize the Express and deflate the Bobcats. The Express would move their feet and make the Bobcats look like statues. Owatonna would build off the momentum from the tying goal and parlay it into the game-winner on a goal by John Kruse at 3;18 of the third.

Now it all comes down to this game five, as the Bobcats look to keep the dream alive. For tickets call 222-3300. Face off is at 5:00 pm at the VFW Sports Center. Come support the NAHL Coach of the Year, Byron Poole.
