After squandering a chance to sweep at home, these Bismarck Bobcats got sweet revenge as they headed into Faribault, Minnesota as they derailed the Express and crushed the Express’ dreams of taking a 2 games to 1 lead. instead, it would be the Bobcats with something to prove after losing game two. It would be Bismarck coming out like ferocious bobcats.

Number fourteen, Cody Keefer, would show why he is Bismarck’s leading scorer, giving the Bobcats a 1-0 lead at 7:11 of the first. The Bobcats would then double the lead to 2-nothing with a goal from Casey Kleisinger, number seven, at 11:39 of the first. John Kruse would cut the Bobcat’s lead to 2-1 at 15:50 of the first period. And then the Express would respond with the tying goal late in the first with a goal by Express’ Dan Cecka.

The game would remain deadlocked through the final two frames, but in overtime enter in Myles Harvey, who uncorked a booming shot. That goal put the Bobcats on the brink of punching their ticket to Mason City, Iowa and put the pesky Express helplessly staring the end of their season in the face. The Bobcats, in tonight’s game, proved why they have the hearts of champions.

Tomorrow night’s game is game number 4 of the best of five series with the Bobcats 1 win away from claiming the Central Division title.
