South Bend, Indiana. I am not a big Brian Kelly fan. When he went to LSU, that was a very bone headed move. Hiring Marcus Freeman from within is the right move for the Irish. I felt like Freeman was the better choice than going outside of the Notre Dame program to hunt for a qualified head coach. Somebody who knows the Irish program well, which Marcus does, makes him the right guy for the job. Freeman was the defensive coordinator under Kelly, and takes over where Kelly left off. I think Marcus will be a shining star for the Irish. He knows football and he will make the right moves for the program. I think with Tommy Rees and the hiring of Marcus Freeman, Notre Dame will be a threat to win the national title. Only time will tell if Notre Dame is ready.
