So the number one ranking is gone, but the Big Ten is still right there for the taking. I don’t think a loss should matter. I said before and I will say it again, the numbers shouldn’t matter! So we lost to Minnesota, big deal, so what. A loss is a loss. You can’t do anything about the past. You were prepared the best you could have been. Sometimes you will have nights where you can try your hardest and the ball won’t bounce your way. I think that Cody and Vic will learn from their mistakes and only make the Hoosiers better. The only title that matters is the national championship! We are in no way out of the tournament, and frankly I don’t give a rip who number one is. That doesn’t mean I don’t want Indiana to be number one. I do want the Hoosiers to be number one, but now is not the right time to focus on who is or isn’t number one. That only matters at the end of road to the title. Number one is only a number! In a way I’m glad its gone, because this proves to you how a basketball team can only get better. I believe that it matters when you get to the Georgia Dome. I’m not saying that the Hoosiers don’t have any right to be annoyed, but it’s time to let somebody else feel the pressure of having a number by their name. Numbers mean nothing, but team unity does! Frankly, I am not worried about the Big Ten tournament. Whoever survives will have a lot of pressure put on them. So let’s forget everything that happens up to this point in the basketball season. You want to be playing your best when you go into the final month of the season. Don’t tell me ladies and gentlemen that the last game meant anything, because it didn’t. I could see your point if it was an NCAA game, but it’s only a Big Ten game. You will have nights where you will try your best and baskets won’t fall your way. I don’t want to hear that Victor can not hit free throws when it really counts because how many times Hoosier fans has Victor been on his game? I also don’t want to hear from the rest of the country that the Hoosiers can’t perform when they have a number in front of their name because yes they can!
