Jeremiah and Brandon Inge, Target Field, August 26, 2011
Minneapolis, Minnesota. Every reporter’s dream is to cover a big story. After several unsuccessful attempts to reach the Minnesota Twins, JeremiahBoyce.com got ahold of the Tigers. My thanks to Brian Britten of the Detroit Tigers for his cooperation in this matter, giving me an opportunity to bring Bismarck, North Dakota a big league story, even though it wasn’t from a Twins perspective. The Tigers organization is a very class organization. Friday, August 26 was a day that I will never forget for the rest of my life, because I went to a major league baseball game at Target Field to see the Minnesota Twins and the Detroit Tigers. I got unprecedented access on the field during batting practice that most fans will not get, and I was able to meet two of the first place Detroit Tigers players, Brandon Inge and Phil Coke. Being able to hang out with the team that could represent the American League in the World Series meant a lot to this reporter. JeremiahBoyce.com told Mr. Phil to strike out the Twins, and he followed this reporter’s wish. A great day for Inge and the Tigers, as they pounded the Minnesota minor leaguers 8-1. Even though Brandon doesn’t have a ring yet, he might as well go in to the JeremiahBoyce.com hall of fame. Big smile, classy guy. Mr. Coke might as well join him, because most baseball players wouldn’t do what those two individuals did. By that I mean take pictures with me before a game in which they could have possibly had Cleveland Indians on their minds, and more specifically trying to beat the Minnesota Twins. Baseball players sometimes come across as cocky and arrogant, but not Dave Dombrowski’s boys. This is the new home of the Detroit Tigers on the internet. Hear every roar, as Brandon, Phil, and Jose try to be kings of the baseball jungle and motor their way toward the World Series.
