Detroit Michigan. With the A’s looking to tie the series at one game apiece, the Tigers had other ideas. They knew how important this game was. In the best of five, Sunday was a very important game. After Sunday, the series shifts to Oakland. The fact is that Oakland allegedly had a better record than the Tigers. I am here to tell you that the regular season meant nothing, and in the playoffs the regular season record means absolutely nothing. So now that the Tigers are up instead of being down. All they have to do is win one game in Oakland and they are on their way to the American League championship. Everybody was talking about the A’s after they beat the Rangers. Now the A’s are one loss away from being swept out of the playoffs. Enter Jhonny Peralta. With the game tied at four, he made sure that the series wouldn’t go back to Oakland tied at one. That was the A’s chance to put a serious tranquilizer into the Tigers, instead it was the Tigers who put a damper on the American League West champion.
