Speedway, Indiana – As 43 competitors get ready for the biggest crown jewel in NASCAR, questions remain about the Brickyard and tires.

Jimmie Johnson, who sits in 3rd in the Sprint Cup points, got lucky here 1 year ago as several of the teams had tire issues.  The #48 Lowe’s Chevrolet left smiling at the end of lap 160.  Hopefully, the tire issues are squared away and we won’t see the Brickyard 400 heat.  We will see a great race, one of the greatest spectacles in racing.  Who do I think will kiss the bricks on Sunday?  There are so many different drivers that it would be sweet to watch, but the one driver I’m keeping my eye on is Columbia, MO’s Carl Edwards.  If not him, maybe Smoke.  I see the 48 and 24 having to earn their way into auto racing’s hallowed ground, but it can be done.
