Dover, Delaware. Going in, we had thought it would come down to Smoke Tony Stewart, and Denny Hamlin. But little did we know, there was a monster inside the 48 car. His name is Jimmie. One week after being cooled off at Charlotte, Knaus and Johnson picked up their seventh win at the Monster Mile. Finishing second to Johnson on Sunday was Richard Childress Racing driver Kevin Harvick. Last year’s champion at the Monster Mile, Matt Kenseth, finished in the number three position. Other HMS notable Dale Earnhart Jr. finished fourth. Meanwhile, Mr. Gordon, who has been stuck on four championships for what seems like an eternity, continues to have a season that is not going the way he wants. The question is, when will the real Jeff Gordon awaken from a long hibernation? One wonders if this is the end for Jeff and if he is in the twilight of his career. Tony Stewart, on the other hand, had a miserable day, courtesy of the Monster, finishing in 25th place. At one point, Stewart was 11th in Sprint Cup points, but by the end of Sunday, he found himself somehow 8th in points.
