First, I would like to say that this week’s Class A basketball tournament was well run, except for program information. There was none on Thursday, and no programs on Saturday. This website relies on programs for the media, so that we can point out players who excel for their teams. Otherwise, the brand of basketball was scintillating.

Congratulations to the Minot Magicians and to the Majettes on sweeping both titles in the capital city over the weekend. Also, jeremiahboyce.com would like to call out Maggie Fricke and Leelee Bell for standing out, because they are eighth graders and they knocked off the undefeated Bismarck Century Lady Pats. I thought that Ashley and Leelee were going to pull off something special on Saturday evening at the Bismarck Event Center, and they did by playing a team brand of basketball. How many times do you see a city sweep both boys and girls events? The answer is not many.

I would like to acknowledge the Lady Pats on a tremendous run. Unfortunately, it came up a little bit short. Congratulations also to the number five Century boys, who are led by my former world history teacher, Mr. Darin Mattern.

I hope that next year, whoever hosts the Class A tournament does a better job in being prepared for the media.
