For the Robertson Cup champion Bismarck Bobcats, their season ended on a sour note with a 4-3 loss to the lowly Tauros on Saturday evening. But all you can ask for is a shot at defending the Cup. The champs take on the Aberdeen Wings in round one of the playoffs starting on Friday and Saturday in the den. The Wings are led by Scott Langer, one time assistant coach to Bobcats head coach John Becanic, and by sharpshooting Owen Pitters. Bryce Francisco will have to be on his good game in goal against the Wings. He is no Tomas Anderson, but he reminds me of Hunter Shepherd. Another Wing that you have to keep your eye on is Jibber “Cooling and Heating” Kuhl. He is capable of being a son of a gun. If you take your eye off the Wings, they can easily come in and take two from you. No looking ahead to Austin!

In other news, the Sheriff is scheduled to receive a Robertson Cup championship ring from owner Thom Brigl this Friday. We will post an article with pictures later.
