Detroit, MI. Instead of being able to celebrate, the fans were subdued by Jonathan and the number one Chicago Blackhawks 4-2, setting up a nightmare scenario for the Wings! Instead of getting some much needed rest, the Red Wings now must fight for their life at the “UC” otherwise known as the Madhouse on Madison. Instead of controlling their own destiny and stepping on Jonathan’s throat, the Red Wings allowed the inexcusable to happen. With the Redwings up 2-1 going into the third period, it looked like as the period went along that the Blackhawks were gaining momentum. Instead of shutting the door, the Red Wings’ ability and willingness to see the Blackhawks and hit the Blackhawks came to an end, which lead the Blackhawks to come around and gain some momentum. Instead of playing solid goal tending, Jimmy Howard became Jimmy Coward. Perhaps Mike Babcock should have pulled Howard and put his back up in. Instead, Babcock chose to let the unthinkable happen before his very eyes! He allowed Chicago to be set up with the chance to win it at home. This is totally inexcusable! The Red Wings had the Blackhawks down, and all they had to do was win one lousy game and then wait for the Sharks and the Kings to determine a game seven winner on their own. But now the Red Wings have to regain their confidence in a winner takes all game with the Blackhawks in game seven. That can only mean good news for one team, and that’s the Blackhawks. The Red Wings are going to look back and wish they could do game six all over again. This website will be all over Mike Babcock all summer if the Red Wings lose game seven. He has nobody to blame but himself if the Red Wings go into the Madhouse on Madison and look extremely tired. Babcock and the players have nobody to blame but themselves. I don’t want a press conference where Mike is whining and crying. You knew all your team had do was win and you were in the Western finals, but now you have given all the momentum to Jonathan and the Blackhawks.
