The Boilermakers were down and seemingly out of the game against the Wolfpack from NC State, but give credit to the senior class who took over. It began with Trevion Williams who was credited with four blocked shots during the game. That wasn’t all he contributed on Sunday afternoon. He also tied the game at 66, sending it into overtime. It looked like the Boilermakers were going to have a Rutgers hangover, but they were able to overcome a very sloppy start. NC State threatened to put the Boilermakers to sleep early in the game, but when it got to overtime basketball on Sunday, the Boilers pulled away. When the overtime period began, they looked like a whole new team. It looked like the team that had been ranked number one. The final score ended at 82-72, Boilermakers, improving their overall record to 9-1.
