Meanwhile the Tigers battle the Oakland A’s, who happen to be the best team in the American League with a record of 51-30. Tonight’s showdown in the Motor City between the Tigers and the A’s is going to be a good one, because both of these teams are very familiar with each other, and they are also both the best of their Divisions. It doesn’t matter that Jim Leyland is not there anymore. There is no love lost between the Tigers and the Athletics, because the Athletics are trying to get where the Tigers have been for the past three years. To be the best you have to beat the best. Until the Athletics can prove to the rest of the country that they can beat the Tigers, then as far as this website is concerned they can get an “F” for failure, especially Yoenis Cespedes.
