After not seeing them all season, the Twins were outplayed and out hustled all series long against the Detroit Tigers. Tigers Manager AJ Hintz had a young but great team that was ready to play. The Central Division now does not have any team over .500. The Twins could not muscle the Tigers around. Instead, it was a Tiger attack, even though Miggy Cabrera was hitting seventh. It doesn’t matter that Miguel was in the number seven hole on Thursday night, when the series began. The Tigers were the better team all series, taking three out of four games at Target Field, where you would think the Twins would be on target. But not this series. It was the gray and orange who made Target Field look like Comerica Park. This series shows you that you can never underestimate the third place Tigers. As for the hapless Twins, they are back at .500 at 36-36, with a Boston Red Sox tea party looming. The Tigers and Twins will renew acquaintances in Detroit next week. Now it’s the Twins’ turn to go into Comerica and do the same thing that the Tigers just did to them, except this time, it will only be a three game series.
